Wilcox High Velocity Ltd has added many specialized pieces of equipment to make sure there is a proper machine for each and every job. We have also ensured that for every machine there is a highly qualified technician to operate each one. Our Thermal Spray capacities are also complimented by our Grinding and Machining capacities. Equipment and tools that we are capable of applying coating to, we have the capacity to Precision Grind and Machine as well. Some of the machines that we have added to our facility are also very large. This offers our customers the opportunity to have parts repaired that they could not have easily repaired before. At least, not locally in Alberta or Western Canada.
Currently, we service most industrial sectors including, Drilling, Petroleum, Agricultural, Mining, and Forestry. Materials used by Wilcox High Velocity are highly scrutinized prior to use. Only the best materials on the market are used by our facility ensuring that each of our customers receives the best product possible. Each system utilized for each coating application is the best system for the job. Our systems are all relatively new and calibrated regularly by a second party calibration company. The systems utilized are Tafa, Sulzer Metco & CastolinEutectic products. Our most recent addition to our thermal spray division was the TAFA JP-8000. Wilcox High Velocity was the first facility in Canada to install this system, and from the start, Wilcox has used a premium fuel mixture that provides an ultra-pure flame deposition which in turn delivers an unbelievably dense coating!
Though we are not ISO certified we operate as if we are. Wilcox provides all the documentation that is required under ISO certification. With each and every repair, we provide our customers with a Quality Control document. This document is returned to the customer with each completed product without fail.
To date, Wilcox High Velocity has not had one tool fail in service due to an unsatisfactory or improperly applied coating product. In fact, due to our coating selections, both new and used products that we have coated greatly outlast our competitor’s coatings. There are motor tools that Wilcox has coated that have survived in service for over 2 years!!
Traditionally, Hardchrome has always been a reliable and cost effective alternative for wearable protective coating. However, technologies and times are changing. Wilcox High Velocity has made every effort to convince our customers of the value of Tungsten Carbide versus the use of Hardchrome with great success. It is no secret that Hardchrome is micro-fractured and will always allow the harsh environment access to the substrate which in turn will very quickly destroy or break down the plated material. Even though Tungsten Carbide coatings are a more expensive option, the low porosity, density and overall lifespan of the material is where our customers will notice dramatic reductions in non-productive time. The revenues saved by reducing non-productive time are countless, even on a small scale!!
As a result of our efforts to offer our customers the right product for the job, some have experienced financial growths upwards of 135%. Part of our customers growth stems from our reliability and accountability as a company, which we are proud to say, is second to none!!
In an industry where accountability, knowledge, and reliability are scarce, we at Wilcox High Velocity Ltd stand behind everything we do. Our commitment is to provide our customers with honesty, integrity, and responsibility and believe that communication is a paramount ingredient to customer service. We are not satisfied unless you, our customers are satisfied.
We look forward to working with our new customers and wish to offer a sincere thank you to our current customers.
“Thank you all for your continued support!”
